Upcoming Field Trips
Our field trips are opened to members of the San Francisco Gem & Mineral Society, who should check their Mineralog for dates for upcoming field trips.
Check back to this page regularly for information about co-op field trips, and published trips scheduled by other clubs and organizations which may be opened to the public. We add this information from time to time as it becomes available to us.
SFGMS Trips planned for this year include:
- Tonopah, Nevada Area - turquoise and variscite
- Northern California - Spider Mine for rhodenite
- Northern California - Eel River Area for jade collecting
- Davis Creek CA & Plush, OR - obsidian and sunstones
- Utah - Henry Mt. and points west for petrified wood, agate, coprolite, topaz and much more.
- Petersen Mountain Area - quartz, amethyst and rose quartz
- San Diego County - tourmaline
